About Chiikawa
Chiikawa is a manga created by illustrator Nagano, originally serialized on X (formerly Twitter) since 2020. The series follows the endearing daily lives of Chiikawa, Hachiware, Usagi, and friends — a mix of heartwarming, bittersweet, and surprisingly intense moments that have captivated readers of all ages. The franchise earned the Japan Character Award Grand Prix and has been inducted into its hall of fame. The anime, which began airing in 2022, has surpassed 500 million views on YouTube. The first theatrical film, Chiikawa the Movie: Secret of the Mermaid Island, adapting the fan-favorite “Siren” arc, is currently in cinemas and had already grossed ¥17.17 billion as of October 4.
2027 Years Item — A Journey Through the Stars
The centerpiece of the new lineup is the 2027 Years Item collection, which depicts Chiikawa and friends traveling through a breathtaking, star-filled night sky. The lineup includes a mug and a plate. The star motifs are crafted using polarized mica pigment, which causes the colors to shift softly depending on the viewing angle — offering a new shimmer every time you pick it up.

Belly Warmers — Stay Cozy This Autumn and Winter
Perfect for the colder months ahead, the Chiikawa belly warmer and Chiikawa short belly-warmer pants come in designs featuring Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi. They are ideal for lounging at home during autumn and winter and will be sold at mass-market retailers nationwide in Japan.
