TOHO animation announced on Tuesday that Kamome Maruyono‘s manga Dokagui Daisuki! Mochizuki-san (I Love Dokagui! Mochizuki-san) is getting a television anime adaptation. Studio Passione is attached to produce the series.
The announcement was made in an unconventional fashion — revealed at the end of a one-hour looping cooking video that began streaming on Tuesday. Maruyono also released a special illustration to mark the occasion.
About the Manga
The gourmet gag comedy follows Mochizuki, a character who is perpetually consumed by cravings for food in rich, heaping portions. The manga has been running simultaneously in Hakusensha‘s Young Animal Zero magazine and the Young Animal Web manga site since May 2024.
Hakusensha released the first compiled volume in October 2024, and the fourth volume is scheduled for release on September 29.
