The reading-drama event FGO THE DRAMALOGUE -Cosmos in the Lostbelt-, based on the hit smartphone game Fate/Grand Order, was held on November 1 at the Pacifico Yokohama National Grand Hall in Kanagawa Prefecture. The event came nearly one year after the release of the game’s “Part 2 Final Chapter,” and drew an audience of eager Masters ready to relive the emotional story.

⚠️ This article contains spoilers for the FGO Part 2 Final Chapter.

Cast

The following voice actors took the stage:

  • Takahashi Rie as Mash Kyrielight
  • Yonezawa Madoka as Olga Marie Animusphere / Maris Caldeas
  • Kawasumi Ayako as Altria Pendragon [Alter] / Fou
  • Aoki Shiki as Sion Eltnam Sokaris
  • Mizushima Takahiro as Sherlock Holmes
  • Nojima Kenji as Marisbury Animusphere

Surprise guests Sugita Tomokazu (Solomon) and Ishikawa Kaito (David Zem Void) also appeared on stage.

From Chaldea’s Explosion to the Final Chapter

Before the show began, full-voiced video from the opening of the Final Chapter played on the hall’s monitors, drawing the audience’s attention to the stage even before the curtain rose. The drama opened with the Chaldea explosion from the very beginning of Part 1, with Takahashi Rie delivering Mash’s fragile plea to hold hands in a weak, trembling voice. The story then flashed back to Singularity F before Yonezawa Madoka joined the stage, her anguished cry as Olga Marie is cast into Chaldeas echoing through the hall.

As the narrative shifted to the Final Chapter, the protagonist’s party reunites with Olga Marie in Fuyuki. Nojima Kenji appeared as Marisbury’s ghost, speaking calmly and philosophically, while Yonezawa skillfully differentiated between adult and young Olga Marie. When Saber Alter arrived, Kawasumi Ayako took the stage in an all-black outfit befitting the character, filling the hall with an imposing presence. The clash of Noble Phantasms between Saber Alter and Mash — with both incantations roaring simultaneously over the video — had audience members already reaching for their eyes.

Olga Marie’s Monologue Brings Masters to Tears

Aoki Shiki entered for the Storm Border scenes, as Marisbury coldly recounted what happened to Olga Marie against a backdrop of unsettling visuals. Takahashi physically trembled to convey Mash’s fury, before Sion’s cool-headed logic cut through the tension. Inside Chaldeas, Takahashi bellowed “Excalibur” with fierce intensity. Olga Marie’s subsequent monologue — her hollow voice gradually softening as she recalled memories of Fuyuki — accompanied by an arrangement of the Part 2 theme song 「逆光」(Gyakkō), drew audible sobbing from throughout the audience.

Surprise #1: Sugita Tomokazu as Solomon

As Mash broke down in tears, Takahashi’s voice trembled on the verge of crying herself. When Mash resolved to fight, a montage of Lostbelt memories played and many in the audience openly wiped their tears. Mizushima Takahiro then appeared as Holmes, delivering a rousing deduction that revealed the enemy’s true identity. At the moment Solomon stepped forward to confront Maris, a lone figure appeared on stage — and as Solomon’s voice rang out, Sugita Tomokazu made his surprise entrance, delivering lines that stirred every Master in the hall.

Intermission: Laughter During the Fantasy Tree Raid

As the battle against the Fantasy Tree began, Servants the protagonist had met throughout the journey appeared one after another in full voice. Comic moments — including the appearance of Red Hare and Bartholomew Roberts discussing his hair — drew laughter from the crowd. The screen then displayed the in-game Fantasy Tree Raid Battle, and the show broke for intermission. An announcement in the style of a raid navigator declared that the break would end once the tree was felled, prompting a burst of laughter. The audience applauded the first half’s performances and buzzed with excited conversation. When the tree was finally cut down with a Noble Phantasm video, cheers and applause erupted — some audience members had to rush back to their seats.

The Final Battle and a Second Surprise

The second half opened with Servants departing after the Fantasy Tree’s defeat. A seaside conversation featuring young Olga Marie’s bright voice alongside 「逆光」 filled the hall with melancholy. In the climactic final battle, the emotionally charged visuals from the game were faithfully recreated, and even those who had remained composed could no longer hold back their tears. Mash delivered the decisive blow with a voice full of resolve.

In the closing scenes with Olga Marie, her warm and emotionally rich farewell drew fresh waves of sobbing. Kawasumi returned in a pure-white outfit as Fou, voicing the character’s human speech. Aoki then performed Sion’s monologue — the character’s carefully maintained composure gradually cracking — in a performance that moved the audience to tears once more. The Chaldea staff’s individual farewells to the protagonist inside the Shadow Border were also fully voiced.

In the final scene, David appeared alongside surprise guest number two: Ishikawa Kaito, who delivered the character’s heartfelt closing lines with quiet care. Takahashi voiced Mash’s final exchange with the protagonist with evident reluctance to let go, extending her hand toward the audience as she spoke Mash’s “Order.”

Kawasumi’s closing monologue brought the story to its end, accompanied by the Final Chapter’s ending theme 「時計」(Tokei) and a staff roll. Among the credits, the names of the late voice actors Tanaka Atsuko and Haji Takaya were listed with evident reverence. As the full cast assembled on stage for a final bow, the audience responded with sustained applause. When the house lights came up, countless Masters filed out with tear-stained faces and expressions of quiet pride.
