The production team behind the Firefly Wedding television anime, based on Oreko Tachibana‘s manga, announced on Friday that singer iri will perform the opening theme song “Period” — marking her first contribution to an anime soundtrack. A new promotional video has been released, offering fans a preview of the track.
The single is set to go on sale on November 18.

Story
On the surface, Satoko appears to have everything — beauty, noble lineage, and a marriageable age. In reality, she is gravely ill with little time remaining. Before she can arrange a marriage to prove her worth to her family, she finds herself targeted by the enigmatic assassin Shinpei, throwing her plans into chaos. Cornered, she makes a desperate gambit: a marriage proposal. For Shinpei, however, the vow “until death do us part” is no mere formality.
About the Manga
Tachibana launched Firefly Wedding on Shogakukan’s Manga ONE app in January 2023. Shogakukan released the 12th compiled volume on June 19. Viz Media publishes the manga in English.
