Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance, an original anime produced for global streaming, will be released as a limited special Blu-ray box set on August 26, 2026. A release announcement PV has also been unveiled, and preorders are now open.
About the Work
The series consists of six 30-minute episodes and revisits the European front of the One Year War from the original Mobile Suit Gundam universe. The story begins 11 months after the war breaks out, when an Eastern European base occupied by Zeon is retaken by the Earth Federation Forces. A mixed battalion is sent to reclaim it, joined by the Red Wolf mobile suit platoon led by Ilia Solari, which has just descended from space.
Staff and Cast
The anime was created with Unreal Engine 5, the real-time 3D production tool developed by Epic Games. Erasmus Brosdau, known for Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, directs the project, with production by Sunrise and SAFEHOUSE.
The Japanese voice cast includes Nanako Mori as protagonist Ilia Solari, along with Shoya Ishige, Shunichi Maki, Ryunosuke Watanuki, Yoshisuke Hara, Takehiro Otsuka, Maki Kawase, Hiroshi Naka, Yoshitada Otsuka, Kyonosuke Kami, and Koki Urawa.
