Fans of Haikyuu!! (ハイキュー!!), get ready! The beloved collaboration between the hit volleyball anime and renowned Sendai confectionery shop 菓匠三全 (Kashō Sanzen) is returning in a “復刻” (revival) format with brand-new exclusive illustrations, and this time it marks the first-ever appearance at JR Tokyo Station.
Haikyuu!! — A Phenomenon That Never Gets Old
The work of Kōharu Furudate, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2012 until its conclusion in July 2020 after more than eight and a half years, has seen its 45-volume manga surpass 75 million copies in circulation worldwide. The TV anime began airing in 2014 and ran through four seasons until December 2020.
Most recently, the theatrical film 『劇場版ハイキュー!! ゴミ捨て場の決戦』, which opened in February 2024, crossed 200 million yen at the worldwide box office. A sequel film, 『劇場版ハイキュー!! VS 小さな巨人』, and a TV special anime, 「ハイキュー!! バケモノたちの行くところ」, are also currently in production.
The Sendai Sweet Collab Fans Have Been Waiting For
Since 2024, Haikyuu!! has partnered with 菓匠三全 for a series of celebrated collaborations. In 2025, two projects generated enormous buzz: a pairing of Kei Tsukishima (月島蛍) with the confection 萩の月 (Hagi no Tsuki), playing on the shared “moon” theme in both names, and a pairing of Tōru Oikawa (及川徹) with ずんだ茶寮 (Zunda Saryo), one of Sendai’s most beloved sweets.
Both collaborations are now returning in a “復刻” format with newly drawn illustrations, and will debut at Tokyo Station for the first time.
