The production team behind the TV anime Hyoken no Majutsushi ga Sekai wo Suberu II (The Ice Sword Magician Who Governs the World II) has released scene cuts and a synopsis for the series’ first episode ahead of its October 8, 2026 premiere.
Episode 1 Synopsis
The series follows Ray White, hailed as the world’s strongest mage and known as the “Ice Sword Magician,” who enrolls at the elite Arnold Magic Academy despite coming from a common household, and finds himself standing against the schemes of a shadowy organization targeting mages.
Episode 1, titled “The Boy Who Is the World’s Strongest Magician Participates in the Large-Scale Magic Battle,” sees Ray decide to enter the newly established inter-school team competition known as the Large-Scale Magic Battle (大規模魔術戦). He teams up with Amelia and Arianne, while on the other side, Evy and Albert are also preparing to compete — apparently joining forces with a certain mysterious individual to form their own team.
Special Program Tonight
A special program will also stream on the TBS Anime Channel on YouTube at 21:00 the same evening. Voice actresses Saeki Iori (Amelia) and Kubota Miyu (Elisa) will appear as guests, looking back on Season 1 across three segments: “冰剣の魔術師,” “マギクス・シュバリエ,” and “エインズワース式ブートキャンプ.”
