About Kero Kero Chime

Kero Kero Chime is a shojo manga serialized in Shueisha’s Ribon magazine from November 1995 through May 1998. The story follows Mimori, a cheerful young girl from the frog kingdom who is skilled in magic and rules as the princess of her realm. One day, a boy named Aoi accidentally wanders into the frog kingdom and is cursed to transform into a frog every time he gets wet. The cause of the curse is Makael, Mimori’s older brother who has been missing for over half a year. Mimori decides to venture into the unknown outside world together with Aoi to search for the key to breaking the curse.

The anime adaptation aired on the TV Tokyo network from March 6 to September 25, 1997, spanning 30 episodes total. With its heartwarming fantasy atmosphere and gentle, lighthearted tone, it became very popular in its era.
