About Kinnikuman
Kinnikuman is a wrestling manga by the duo Yudetamago, comprising writer Takashi Shimada and illustrator Yoshinori Nakai. It began serialisation in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1979, following the bumbling alien wrestler Kinnikuman as he grows from a hapless underdog into the mightiest fighter in the Supermen world through effort, friendship, and victory. The series continues today in Weekly Playboy and Shupure NEWS, with a cumulative print run exceeding 77 million copies.
The original anime launched in 1983, and the iconic “Kinkeshi” rubber figures sold over 180 million units. The new anime series Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Arc aired Season 1 from July to September 2024 and Season 2 from January to March 2025, adapting one of the manga’s most beloved story arcs — a direct continuation of the previously animated Kinniku Throne Arc. Season 3 has already been confirmed, picking up after the battle at the Tottori Sand Dunes between the Justice/Demon alliance (led by Kinnikuman and Buffaloman) and Nemesis’s Perfect/Myriad army.
The Akuma Shogun Edo Kiriko Glass
The deep-crimson soda-glass tumbler showcases Akuma Shogun’s imposing mask on its front face, rendered in crisp sandblast engraving. Curved cuts surrounding the mask evoke his iconic shoulder armour, while the traditional geometric Asanoha (麻の葉) pattern across the body captures the brilliance of his legendary Hardness-10 Diamond Power.
Wrapping around the sides and back, the traditional lattice motif Yarai (矢来) — with its sharp, crossing lines — represents the merciless blade flashes of his finishing move, “Jigoku no Merry-Go-Round,” in which he charges with twin sword-arms. The base of the glass features Akuma Shogun’s chest emblem in sandblast engraving; when filled with a drink, the emblem rises through the liquid for a dramatic visual effect.
Each glass is meticulously crafted by artisans at Mitsuwa Garasu Kogei Co., Ltd., a member of the Edo Kiriko Cooperative Association, and delivered in a premium paulownia wood presentation box.
