d Anime Store: Recommended Platform
d Anime Store is an anime-dedicated subscription service that offers all 12 episodes of Maebashi Witches for unlimited viewing — from Episode 1, “What’s Wrong with the Status Quo?!”, through to the finale — with no additional charges. At ¥660 per month, it is one of the most affordable options for anime fans. New subscribers receive the first month free; if you sign up mid-month, the free period runs until the last day of that month. After the free period, the subscription renews automatically at the full monthly rate.
Because d Anime Store specialises exclusively in anime, it is also easy to discover other titles in the magical-girl or idol-music genres once you finish the series.
Amazon Prime Video: Per-Episode Rental Option
Amazon Prime Video carries Maebashi Witches as a rental-only title, priced from ¥220 per episode in HD. Watching all 12 episodes this way costs more than a single month of d Anime Store, making it better suited to viewers who only want to catch specific episodes. Docomo network subscribers also receive a monthly dPoint rebate equivalent to 20% of their Prime membership fee.
Theatrical Film: October 23, 2026
A theatrical compilation film, Gekijouban Maebashi Witches: Majo Minarai no Emo Emories (劇場版 前橋ウィッチーズ~魔女見習いのエモエモリーズ~), is scheduled to open on October 23, 2026. Production was announced in March 2026. Fans who want to revisit the TV series before the film’s release can use d Anime Store’s free trial to watch all 12 episodes in time.
Story Synopsis
The protagonist is Akagi Yuina, a first-year high-school student living in Maebashi City. After a chance encounter with a mysterious frog named Keroppe, she is drawn into witch training. A closet door opens into a strange hidden space, and Yuina joins forces with Niisato Azu, Kitahara Kyouka, Mitsumata Choko, and Ueizumi Mai to form the unit Maebashi Witches. Together, the five girls work at a magical flower shop — singing and dancing to fulfil the wishes of each customer who walks through the door.
A key highlight is watching five girls with very different personalities and personal struggles gradually bond as teammates. Series composition and scripts are handled by Yoshida Erika, who gives each character a distinct inner voice and conflict. The real-world setting of Maebashi City and the song-and-dance sequences at the flower shop are also major draws. The opening theme, “Sugosugiru Maebashi Witches!”, features lyrics by Tsunku.
