Fans of 「蟲師 (Mushishi)」 — get ready! An event has been announced: the 「蟲師展 -出張展-」, a special traveling exhibition of rare original artwork, is heading to Hiroshima. It will be held at Hiroshima PARCO Main Building, 6th Floor “PARCO FACTORY”, opening Friday, June 5, 2026.

About “Mushishi”

「蟲師」 is a manga by Urushibara Yuki, serialized in “Monthly Afternoon” and other magazines from 1999 to 2008. It follows the life of Ginko, a Mushishi — a traveler who encounters “Mushi (蟲),” mysterious life forms invisible to ordinary eyes — and the strange phenomena they cause.

The work has won the top prize in manga at the 7th Agency for Cultural Affairs Media Arts Festival, as well as the 30th Kodansha Manga Award (General Category). It has also been adapted into a TV anime (Season 1 in 2005, Season 2 in 2014) and a live-action film in 2007.

Exhibition Highlights

The exhibition will display rare original artwork from the manga, along with exclusive commemorative merchandise available only at this event, including a character fine-art board featuring Ginko, an acrylic stand, and a panel-version acrylic stand — all faithfully reproducing the beauty of the original illustrations.

Special Gift for All Visitors

  • Every visitor will receive one original bookmark (randomly selected from 5 designs), each depicting Ginko in a different atmosphere and color scheme.

Special Prize Lottery

During the event period, every purchase of 3,000 yen (tax included) per receipt entitles you to one lottery draw (up to 5 draws per receipt, or a cumulative purchase of 15,000 yen). Prizes are as follows:

  • Prize A: Character fine-art board (non-sale item)
