Lawson convenience stores nationwide in Japan are set to launch a special collaboration campaign with the beloved TV anime Nintama Rantaro (忍たま乱太郎), titled 「暑さをふっとばせ！の段」 (“Blow Away the Heat!” Chapter). The campaign kicks off on August 25, 2026.
About Nintama Rantaro
Nintama Rantaro is based on the manga Rakudai Ninja Rantaro (落第忍者乱太郎) by Amako Sobee, which began serialization in the Asahi Shogakusei Shinbun newspaper in 1986. The TV anime adaptation launched in 1993 and has since been cherished by fans of all ages. Set during the Sengoku period, the series follows three young ninja-in-training — Rantaro, Kirimaru, and Shinbee — as they study and enjoy their lively, comedic days at Ninjutsu Academy.
In December 2024, the franchise also released the theatrical film Nintama Rantaro the Movie: Dokutake Ninja Corps’ Greatest Strategist, adapted from a popular novel among fans. The film takes a more serious tone than the TV series, beginning with the disappearance of Teacher Doi after he sets out to duel the Tasogaredoki ninja Moroizumi Sonnamon.

The collaboration features vibrant, summer-themed original illustrations of a large cast of characters, including Inamdera Rantaro, Settsu no Kirimaru, Fukutomi Shinbee, Doi Hansuke, Yamada Riichi, Ushioe Monjiro, Tachibana Senzo, Nakaarike Chooji, Nanamatsu Koheita, Zenpoji Isaku, and Keman Ruisaburo.
