The summer anime Saijo no Osewa (才女のお世話) has released the synopsis and advance scene cuts for Episode 2, “Osewa-gakari Daiichi-nichi” (First Day as Caretaker), set to air on Saturday, July 11, 2026.
About the Series
Saijo no Osewa is a romantic comedy adapted from the light novel by Sakaishi Yusaku, published under HobbyJapan’s HJ Bunko imprint. A manga adaptation by Mizushima Sorahiko also runs in Comic Fire. The anime is produced by Brains Base under the direction of Morishita Shusei.
The story begins when Konohana Hinako — the heiress of Japan’s most powerful financial conglomerate and the girl everyone admires as the “perfect ojou-sama” — suddenly appoints an ordinary high school boy named Tomonari Itsuki as her exclusive personal caretaker. Behind her flawless public image, Hinako is actually a helpless girl who can’t even dress herself. Determined to protect the facade she must maintain for her prestigious family, Itsuki diligently tends to her every need — and before long, Hinako begins leaning on him wholeheartedly. What unfolds is a sweet romance that transcends the boundaries of master and servant.
Episode 2 Synopsis — “First Day as Caretaker”
Itsuki transfers to the elite Kikou Gakuin academy while keeping his role as Hinako’s caretaker a secret. Surrounded by heirs and heiresses, he struggles to find his footing — yet during their private lunch breaks, Hinako drops her perfect-ojou-sama act entirely and clings to him without restraint.
While searching for something Hinako has lost, Itsuki crosses paths with Tennoji Mirei, a young noblewoman who sees Hinako as her rival. And to make things more complicated, a mysterious female student who appears to already know Itsuki suddenly shows up…!
