Volume 1 of Shini Modori no Houseki Hime wa, Nidome no Jinsei wo Ouka Suru (死に戻りの宝石姫は、二度目の人生を謳歌する。— The Jewel Princess Who Returned from Death Enjoys Her Second Life) went on sale today, October 7, published by Core Mix under the Zenon Comics imprint.
The manga is an adaptation of the original novel by Gorogoro Mikan., with art by Sakumoto Mitsuki.
A Life of Suffering
The story centers on Lucia Stearon, a young noblewoman known as the “Jewel Princess” because the fluids of her body transform into precious gems — her saliva becomes crystal, her blood becomes ruby, and other bodily fluids likewise crystallize into jewels.
Lucia’s life is one of unrelenting cruelty. Her own family drains her blood to sell the resulting gems, and even the prince she loves ultimately betrays her. Because the quality of the jewels she produces diminishes with age, her family resolves to kill her while she is still young, converting every last drop of her blood into gems all at once.
A Second Chance
The story kicks off when time rewinds to six months before her death. Now the “Jewel Princess Who Returned from Death” must struggle with everything she has to escape the fate that awaits her.
Volume 1 of Shini Modori no Houseki Hime wa, Nidome no Jinsei wo Ouka Suru is available now in both print and digital editions.
