The sweet home love-comedy light novel Soshiki no Shukuteki to Kekkon Shitara Mecha Amai (lit. Marrying My Organization’s Arch-Enemy Turned Out to Be Incredibly Sweet) has been officially announced for a TV anime adaptation. The announcement came alongside the release of anime character design sheets for leads Saigawa Roji and Saigawa Ritsuka, an announcement PV, and key staff information.

Story

Published under Dengeki Bunko, the series follows the married life of Saigawa Roji — known by the alias “Feather Hunter” — and his wife Ritsuka (née Yanagi), dubbed the “White Demon” and considered the most powerful esper of her former organization. The two once belonged to rival esper organizations, but after both groups disbanded, they inexplicably began dating and eventually married. Today they are an almost sickeningly affectionate couple, exchanging a goodbye kiss at the front door every single morning.

There is, however, one thing weighing on the husband’s mind: despite being married, he has never once shared a bed with his wife. The story follows this still-innocent husband as he desperately tries to deepen his relationship with his chaste spouse, all while getting caught up in one chaotic situation after another.

Comments from the Creative Team

Uso Riji (original author): “I’m truly surprised, since I originally wrote this as a standalone single-volume story. I’d like to express my heartfelt gratitude to former editor Anan, who helped launch the project, current editor Tabata, Hayashi Kei sensei and Shiime sensei for their wonderful illustrations and manga, everyone involved in bringing the anime to life, and above all, the readers who have supported us every step of the way.”

Hayashi Kei (original illustrator): “Thank you so much and congratulations on the anime! Cute situations for Ritsuka that I couldn’t fit into the novel illustrations were already brought to life in Shiime sensei’s manga adaptation — and now we might get to see even more of them in anime form…! As a fan of this series myself, I’m so excited to see what comes next!”
