Isao Takahata’s theatrical edit of the classic 1979 anime “Anne of Green Gables” will screen for one day only on July 18, 2026, at UDX Theater in Tokyo.
The book Takahata Isao to Hotaru no Haka explores the making of the classic film through seven notebooks and a lost screenplay. It goes on sale June 24, 2026 for 1,980 yen.
The fantasy adventure film Azur et Asmar, with a Japanese dub supervised by Isao Takahata, will screen for a single day at UDX Theater in Tokyo.
