Pierrot’s ongoing magical-girl TV anime Mahou no Shimai Lulut Lily has announced three additional cast members: Hamada Kenji, Okasaki Miho, and Tominage Mina. All three make their debut in episode 18, titled “Fushigi na Shima no Arashi” (Storm on the Mysterious Island), which begins airing on November 8.
New Roles
Hamada Kenji voices a fisherman from the magical kingdom who lives near the mysterious island alongside his daughter Chapi, while Okasaki Miho voices Chapi herself.
The most notable addition is Tominage Mina, best known for playing the lead role of Persia in the classic Pierrot series Mahou no Yousei Persia. She joins Lulut Lily as the fairy of Kabappy (かばっピーの妖精), a large, warm-hearted character brimming with gentle affection.
Tominage Mina’s Comment
“Through a Pierrot Magical Girl Series alumni programme, I had the wonderful opportunity to look back on over 40 years of history and reminisce about the days I played Persia and Kakimaru. And then — to top it all off — I got to appear in the latest work, Mahou no Shimai Lulut Lily! It is a deeply moving and truly joyful thing for me. Don’t you think Kabappy’s fairy is quite an adorable character? The moment I saw her design, I felt I wanted to portray her with a soft, gentle, and all-embracing warmth. I hope it matches the image you all have of her… though she is a little on the heavy side, so running scenes are quite the workout! (laughs) Please look forward to it!”
Episode 18 of Mahou no Shimai Lulut Lily airs on November 8.
