The TV anime 「『きみを愛する気はない』と言った次期公爵様がなぜか溺愛してきます」 — loosely translated as “The Next Duke Who Said He Wouldn’t Love Me Is Somehow Doting on Me” — has released a new set of scene cuts showcasing the series’ male characters.
Male Characters Featured
The newly released images highlight five key male characters:
- Julius Roias — the elite but emotionally awkward heir to the dukedom, and the male lead of the series
- Alexis Josef Ralt — the crown prince of the Kingdom of Rut, whom Julius serves
- Hannes Yukalainen — Elsa’s kind-hearted younger brother who cares deeply for his sister
- Yarmo Parnila — son of Count Parnila, who draws close to Elsa and Julius while scheming behind the scenes
- Iele Ecluse — a cool and serious knight belonging to the kingdom’s order of knights
Story
Based on the original novel by Misawa Kei and the manga adaptation by Mizuno Natsu, the series follows Elsa Yukalainen, a cheerful young woman from an impoverished noble family, and Julius Roias, a brilliant but socially inept future duke. The two enter into a marriage of convenience driven by mutual interest — and a romantic comedy unfolds from there.
Broadcast & Streaming
The TV anime premieres on July 4, 2026 on TV Asahi’s nationwide “NUMAnimation” block (25:30), with BS Asahi airing on Mondays at 23:24. Streaming on Anime Times, U-NEXT, Anime Houdai, and d Anime Store begins the same day at 26:00, ahead of other platforms.
