With late June now upon us, the summer 2026 anime season is just around the corner. The lineup is packed with variety — highly anticipated manga and light-novel adaptations, sequels to beloved series, and noteworthy originals all vying for viewers’ attention.
To find out which titles fans are most excited about, Anime! Anime! conducted a reader poll titled “Which Summer 2026 Anime Are You Looking Forward to Most?” The survey ran from June 2 to June 15 and collected responses from 289 participants.
Respondent Breakdown
- Gender split: approximately 65% male / 35% female
- Top age groups: under 19, 30s, and 50s — each accounting for roughly 20% of respondents

#3 — Seihantai na Kimi to Boku (正反対な君と僕)
Seihantai na Kimi to Boku — which can be loosely rendered as You and I, Complete Opposites — landed in third place. The series drew strong support from fans who enjoy youth romance and slice-of-life storytelling.
#2 — Youjo Senki II (幼女戦記II)
The long-awaited second season of Youjo Senki (known internationally as Saga of Tanya the Evil) secured the runner-up position. Anticipation for the return of Tanya Degurechaff and her grim, fantasy-warfare world drove a significant share of the votes.
