The TV anime Honzuki no Gekokujou: Ryoshu no Yojo (Ascendance of a Bookworm: Adopted Daughter of a Lord) has released its third main promotional video for Season 2, simultaneously unveiling the season’s ending theme song for the first time.
adieu’s “Wanna me” Revealed
The new PV features the first audio preview of “Wanna me” by adieu (singer-actress Moka Kamishiraishi), which serves as the Season 2 ending theme. Set to fresh footage from the new cour, the video highlights the series’ core appeals — family bonds, the art of bookmaking, and its rich fantasy world.
adieu shared the following comment about the song:
“I’m adieu, and I’m truly honored to be in charge of the ending theme for Honzuki no Gekokujou: Ryoshu no Yojo. It means so much to be involved musically with a work that has been loved for so long. I tried to express, in my own way, the beauty of ‘believing’ that runs through Honzuki no Gekokujou. This story taught me that believing in the things you love is ultimately the same as believing in yourself. As a fan, I can’t wait for the broadcast!”
The “Wanna me (TV edit)” will be available for digital streaming starting on the premiere date, July 11. A special anime-illustrated digital jacket cover has also been revealed.
Season 2 Synopsis
Season 2 of Honzuki no Gekokujou: Ryoshu no Yojo begins airing on July 11 via the Yomiuri TV/Nippon TV nationwide network and other channels. The story follows Rozemyne, a girl reincarnated into the noble-ruled magical land of Ehrenfest, who strives to create books in a world where none exist. In the “Ryoshu no Yojo” arc, the immense magical power hidden within her begins to attract dangerous conspiracies.
