The TV anime adaptation of Kōcha Agasawa‘s manga The Ramparts of Ice (Koori no Jyōheki) closed out its 14th and final episode of the first season with a major announcement: Season 2 will premiere on October 1.
The new season will air every Thursday at 11:56 p.m. JST on TBS and 27 affiliated channels across Japan.

Season 1 premiered on April 2 on TBS and its affiliated channels, with Netflix simultaneously launching the series globally on the same date.
Agasawa, also known for You and I Are Polar Opposites, originally serialized The Ramparts of Ice as a webtoon on the LINE Manga app from January 2020 to April 2022. Shueisha published the 14th and final compiled volume in February 2025.
The manga has earned considerable recognition: it ranked #15 in the male readers’ category of Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2024 in December 2023, received a nomination for the 69th Shogakukan Manga Awards in 2023, placed second in the “Vertical Scroll Comic” section of the second Rakuten Kobo E-book Awards in May 2024, and ranked #2 on AnimeJapan’s sixth “Most Wanted Anime Adaptation” poll in 2023.
