A dedicated pop-up storefront for the TV anime Ghost in the Shell THE GHOST IN THE SHELL, based on Shirow Masamune‘s original manga, opened on Amazon.co.jp on July 6, 2026.
Exclusive Merchandise and Rare Illustrations
The store carries limited-edition items available nowhere else, including specially designed apparel and smartphone cases. It also offers a set of eight illustration panels produced strictly on a made-to-order basis.
Several of the panel designs mark their Japanese debut: one was originally created as a cover candidate for Yanmaga USA (Kodansha), distributed in North America, while another was drawn for the French-language box edition of Ghost in the Shell. All items in the store are exclusive to Amazon.co.jp within Japan.
The storefront also stocks a broad range of officially licensed products including manga volumes, figures, and miscellaneous goods, with more items set to be added on a rolling basis.
Large-Scale Poster at Shibuya Station
Alongside the store launch, a large poster advertisement featuring the assembled members of Public Security Section 9 — led by Motoko Kusanagi — is on display at the “Shibunishi Deck Sheet” (しぶにしデッキシート) corridor on the west side of Shibuya Station in Tokyo, running from July 6 through July 12.
Broadcast and Streaming Details
The TV anime Ghost in the Shell THE GHOST IN THE SHELL premieres on July 7, 2026 at 23:00 JST on Kantele and the Fuji TV network nationwide as part of the “Ka-Anival!!” (火アニバル!!) programming block. It will then begin streaming on Prime Video at 23:30 JST the same night, with all episodes available for unlimited viewing.
