The production team behind the television anime adaptation of Nia Liston: The Merciless Maiden (Kyōran Reijō Nia Liston: Byōjaku Reijō ni Tenseishita Kami-goroshi no Bujin no Kareinaru Musō Roku), based on Umikaze Minamino’s light novel series, announced on Tuesday that VTuber Tsunomaki Watame will perform the opening theme song “Respawn!!” The team also unveiled a new situation visual alongside the announcement.
Broadcast Details
The anime is set to premiere on October 6 on Tokyo MX at 9:25 p.m. JST, followed by broadcasts on BS NTV and MBS. HIDIVE will simulcast the series internationally.

The anime is produced at KONAMI animation under the direction of Motoki Nakanishi (Love Is Indivisible by Twins, Summoned to Another World for a Second Time), with Haruta Segi serving as assistant director.

The anime credits both original illustrators — Jishaku, who illustrated the novels from the first volume, and Katana Canata, who took over from the third volume — for the original character designs.
Source Material
Minamino originally serialized the story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website from 2019 to 2021. Hobby Japan began publishing the novels with illustrations by Jishaku in September 2022, and has since released 11 volumes, with the latest arriving on June 1.
A manga adaptation by Kabuto Kodai launched on Square Enix’s Manga UP! service in 2022. Square Enix has published eight compiled volumes to date — the first in May 2023 and the eighth on February 6. An English-language version is available through Manga UP! Global.
