OceanVeil, the anime streaming platform operated by WWWave Corporation, announced on Tuesday that it will add the web anime Miru Tights to its catalog on Thursday at 9:00 p.m. EDT.

About Miru Tights

The anime is the brainchild of illustrator Yom, celebrated for an obsessive, hyper-realistic approach to depicting pantyhose aesthetics. Miru Tights is an unapologetic love letter to legwear in every form — from the sheer elegance of 30-denier hosiery and the matte allure of 60-denier to the quiet heartbreak of a sudden snag. OceanVeil describes the series as an invitation for viewers to indulge their sophisticated tastes without judgment.

Broadcast History

The anime originally premiered on Nico Nico Channel and d Anime Store in May 2019, running for 12 episodes at roughly five minutes each. The official YouTube channel also streamed the series with English, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese subtitles. The Japanese Blu-ray release added a bonus 13th episode and carried the same subtitle language support as the streaming version.

Staff and Cast

Yūki Ogawa (Ōya-san wa Shishunki!) directed the anime at Yokohama Animation Lab, with series composition handled by Fumiaki Maruto, known for the White Album 2 visual novel, Classroom Crisis, and Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend. Yukari Hibino designed the characters, and SHADE composed the soundtrack.

The ending theme “True Days” was performed in three separate solo versions, one by each of the three main voice cast members singing in character.

More from Yom

Yom also authored the dōjinshi manga Ganbare Dōki-chan (You Can Do It Dōki-chan), which was adapted into a net anime that debuted on the ABEMA streaming service in Japan in September 2021. Crunchyroll handled international streaming for that series.
