The theatrical anime SEKIRO: NO DEFEAT, based on FromSoftware’s video game SEKIRO: SHADOWS DIE TWICE, has revealed its week-one audience gift and a series of stage greeting events featuring staff and voice cast members.
Week-One Visual Board
Audiences who attend during the film’s first week will receive a specially drawn visual board illustrated by character designer Kishida Takahiro. The monochrome artwork features the two central characters: Wolf, the seasoned shinobi, and Kuro, the young heir to a bloodline bearing the special power known as the “Ryuin.”
Stage Greeting Events at Three Venues
To celebrate the film’s release, stage greeting events will be held across two days:
- September 5 — T·JOY Umeda (Osaka) and Fushimi Million-za (Aichi): Director Kutsuna Ken’ichi, co-director Fukui Shunsuke, and producer Fukutome Shun will appear.
- September 6 — Shinjuku Wald 9 (Tokyo): Voice actors Namikawa Daisuke (Wolf), Sato Miyuki (Kuro), Ito Shizuka (Emma), and Kanao Tetsuo (Ashina Isshin) will take the stage.
Tickets for the Osaka and Aichi events go on sale online at midnight on August 21. Tokyo tickets are available via a Ticket Pia lottery from August 14 through August 30 at 23:59.
Collaboration Ohagi with Koufukudo
A food collaboration has also been announced between the film and Koufukudo (口福堂), the Japanese confectionery brand under Kakiyasu. Starting September 4, stores nationwide will sell special collaboration ohagi (sweet rice cakes) inspired by a scene in which Wolf and Kuro make them together. The product comes as a single piece or a set of three; purchasing one set of three earns a bonus postcard.
Film Details
SEKIRO: NO DEFEAT opens on Friday, September 4, 2026 for a three-week limited theatrical run across Japan. The story is set in the land of Ashina during the twilight of the Sengoku era and follows Wolf and Kuro.
