A Series Still Going Strong After 30 Years
Based on Gosho Aoyama‘s long-running manga serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shōnen Sunday, Detective Conan has surpassed 270 million copies sold worldwide and is a recipient of the 46th Shogakukan Manga Award (Boys’ Category). The TV anime launched in January 1996 and marks its 30th anniversary in 2026. It continues to air every Saturday at 6:00 p.m. on the Yomiuri TV / Nippon TV network across Japan, while its annual theatrical films consistently break box-office records.
