The TV anime Futsutsuka na Akujo dewa Gozaimasuga: Hinagiya Chōso Torikae-den has unveiled its official pre-air promotional video, offering audiences a closer look at the glittering imperial court setting and the schemes and power plays that unfold within it. The clip also digs deeper into the relationship between Huang Lingling and Zhu Huiyue, blending opulence with palpable tension.
Ending Theme: “Houkiboshi” by Rokudenashi, Written by Eve
The series’ ending theme has been confirmed as “Houkiboshi” (ホウキボシ), performed by Rokudenashi. The song’s lyrics and composition were both handled by Eve.
Rokudenashi commented: “I got to create ‘Houkiboshi’ together with Eve for this ending theme. The song expresses the inner conflict and emotions of Zhu Huiyue, and portrays someone who keeps moving forward without losing sight of their dreams. It’s a song that could only have been born from this opportunity, and I hope it becomes a track people love alongside the anime.”
Eve commented: “I wrote ‘Houkiboshi’ specifically for this project. Rokudenashi (Ninjin) absorbed every nuance of the lyrics and poured emotion into every single breath. The result amplifies the world of the story to its fullest. I hope this song accompanies the anime and its story going forward.”
Synopsis
Set in the Hinagiya — a palace where candidates are trained to become imperial consorts — the story follows Lingling after she is forcibly body-swapped with Huiyue, a despised young woman known as a “wicked woman.” Armed with an iron will, Lingling overcomes every hardship thrown at her and gradually begins to move Huiyue’s heart.
