The anime staff for Seihantai na Kimi to Boku (You and I Are Polar Opposites), the romantic comedy manga by Kōcha Agasawa, released a third English-subtitled trailer for the series’ second season on Friday. The trailer’s headline reveal is the ending theme song, “Unmei no Kimi” (“You are the one”), performed by Mega Shinnosuke.

Story

MANGA Plus describes the manga as follows: Suzuki, an energetic girl who can’t help but follow the crowd, finds herself drawn to Tani, a quiet boy who can easily speak his mind. Despite being polar opposites, the two are pulled into a heartfelt, down-to-earth romance that fans of the genre won’t want to miss.

Premiere & Streaming

Season 2 of You and I Are Polar Opposites is set to premiere on July 5 on MBS, TBS, and 26 other networks, airing on Sundays at 5:00 p.m. JST. Crunchyroll will stream the new season.

Season 1 debuted on January 11 on MBS and TBS, also airing Sundays at 5:00 p.m. JST. Crunchyroll streamed the first season with a same-day English dub, while additional streaming partnerships included Animax Broadcasting Korea and Medialink.

About the Manga

Agasawa launched the manga on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ platform in May 2022, following a one-shot debut on the same site in January 2021. The manga concluded in November 2024, and Shueisha released the eighth and final compiled volume in March 2025. The series has over 1.8 million copies in circulation (including digital), ranked #3 at the 16th Manga Taisho Awards (2023), and #7 at the 17th Manga Taisho Awards (2024). In addition to MANGA Plus, Viz Media also publishes the series in English.
