Artist Comments
Canaco (Vo./Gt.), Faulieu.
“This is Canaco, vocalist and guitarist of Faulieu.! I’m truly delighted to be involved as the opening theme artist for the anime adaptation of ‘dreamland,’ a work that has been cherished in France for so long. I felt a deep respect for manga and animation culture — a true source of Japanese pride — and a passionate energy throughout the entire work. ‘movin’on’ expresses the world of ‘dreamland’ and the feelings embedded in it through music. I hope it helps bring even more excitement to the series, and I hope everyone enjoys it!”
Tomioka Ai
“‘dream catcher’ is a song I wrote exclusively for the anime ‘dreamland.’ It layers two meanings of the word ‘dream’ — the dreams we see while sleeping, and the dream of who we want to become. The first half of the song is written from the perspective of the protagonist’s mother, watching over him as he fights in the dream world. The latter half shifts to the protagonist’s own point of view, capturing his determination to keep fighting toward his dream. The person chasing a dream, and the person watching and cheering from close by — even if it’s the same dream, the scenery and feelings differ depending on where you stand. I wove both of those perspectives into one song. I hope this song reaches you, wherever you are on your own path.”
