The production team behind Tetsuryō! meet with Tetsudō Musume, the original television anime based on the Tetsudō Musume (Railway Girls) character franchise, began streaming a pre-broadcast promotional video on Sunday. The video offers fans a first listen to the previously announced opening theme song “GO! GO! RAILWAY!!”, performed by artist Asaka.
Premiere Details
The anime is set to premiere on October 8 at midnight JST on Tokyo MX and BS Fuji. International viewers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand will be able to watch the series via HIDIVE as it airs. The anime already held its world premiere at Anime NYC on August 21.
Story
The series follows four train-loving college students who belong to the Tetsudō Ryokō Dōkō-kai — nicknamed “Tetsuryo,” or the Railway Travel Club. Together they journey through a world where hundreds of Tetsudō Musume characters work across Japan’s railways and rail-related businesses.

Staff
The anime is based on an original work by TOMYTEC in collaboration with Kisetsu Morita, the novelist behind I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level. Misuzu Hoshino — known for episode directing on Laid-Back Camp and directing Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! and The Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysterious — is helming the series at East Fish Studio.
Aya Satsuki (Solo Camping for Two, “Ippon” Again!, Too Cute Crisis) is handling series composition and scripts, while Hisanori Hashimoto (Laid-Back Camp season 3) is serving as character designer.
The ending theme “Watashi Miraisen” (My Future Line) will be performed by the Tetsuryo Club, a unit formed by the four lead voice actresses: May Tachibana, Mao Shōji, Haruna Fukushima, and Hika Tsukishiro.
About Tetsudō Musume
The Tetsudō Musume franchise launched in 2005 and celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2025. Each character is associated with a real railway company or rail-related business in Japan, dressed in authentic uniforms and work attire. As of May 2025, the franchise features 114 characters across the country.
