The television anime adaptation of Kyousuke Motomi‘s shōjo manga Dengeki Daisy has revealed its two main cast members and a teaser promotional video. The clip made its world debut at Anime Expo on Friday before the official announcement was posted on Saturday.

The anime is being produced at Studio DEEN under the direction of Sōta Ueno, known for Days With My Stepsister and SHIBOYUGI: Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table. Sawako Hirabayashi (Wolf Girl & Black Prince, Delicious Party♡Precure, I’ll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History) is handling series scripts, while Ayaka Murakami (Days With My Stepsister) is designing the characters. Masaru Yokoyama is composing the score.
Story
After orphan Teru Kurebayashi loses her beloved older brother, she finds comfort in messages exchanged with a mysterious figure known only as DAISY — reachable only through the cell phone her brother left behind. But the enigmatic Tasuku Kurosaki has a habit of showing up exactly when Teru needs help most. Could DAISY be far closer to her than she ever imagined?
About the Manga
Motomi — also known for Queen’s Quality, QQ Sweeper, and Beast Master — launched Dengeki Daisy in Shogakukan’s Monthly Betsucomi magazine in 2007. The series concluded in 2013, with the 16th and final compiled volume released in February 2014. Viz Media’s Shojo Beat imprint published the English edition.
The Dengeki Daisy TV anime is set to air in 2027.
