The official website for the television anime adaptation of Fuurou‘s light novel series The Frontier Lord Begins with Zero Subjects (Ryōmin 0-nin Start no Henkyō Ryōshu-sama) has released a third promotional video and announced additional cast members.

Staff
Kenichi Imaizumi, known for directing Kingdom seasons 3–6, helms the production at studio42. Kunihiko Okada (The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy, From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman, Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra) is overseeing the series scripts, while Keiichi Tsuboyama (animation director on Fireworks, Should We See it from the Side or the Bottom?) is handling character design.
Theme Songs
Japanese-Korean pop-rock act CROWN HEAD performs the opening theme “Wonder,” which is previewed in the new promotional video. Singer Kaya performs the ending theme “Hoshi Furu Yoru no Yakusoku” (The Promise of the Night of Falling Stars).
About the Series
Fuurou began serializing the story on Shōsetsuka ni Narō on January 20, 2018. The Earth Star Novel imprint publishes the light novel series with illustrations by Kinta, and Yumbo draws the manga adaptation, which currently spans 14 volumes. The franchise has surpassed two million copies in circulation. J-Novel Club publishes both the novel and manga in English.
The “slow-life fantasy” follows Dias, a celebrated war hero who returns home after decades of fighting only to receive a domain that is nothing but empty plains with a population of zero. Struggling to figure out how to build a thriving territory from scratch, he soon encounters a horned girl named Alna, who reveals that there is far more to those plains than he ever imagined.
