Moomin and Japanese confectionery brand Merry Chocolate have announced a limited-edition Christmas collaboration, launching a pair of character tins filled with festive treats. The products go on sale Sunday, 1 November 2026 via Merry’s official online shop and select retailers.
About Moomin
Moomin was created by Tove Jansson, Finland’s beloved author, painter, and artist. The adventures of Moomintroll and his friends have been translated and published in more than 50 countries, with the original novels, comics, and picture books inspiring merchandise, theme parks, and animated series enjoyed by fans in Finland, Japan, and around the world.
The Products
The collaboration features two collectible metal tins, each with its own design and contents:
- Moomin to Nakamatachi (Moomin and Friends) — A tin depicting Moomin and friends sledding and dancing under a starry winter sky. Inside are chocolate cookies individually wrapped in Little My artwork. Contents: 65 g. Price: ¥1,404 (tax included).
- Little My Chocolate — A tin showcasing Little My surrounded by flowers and berries. Inside are two varieties of puff chocolates wrapped in Moomin and Little My designs, totalling 5 pieces. Price: ¥1,080 (tax included).
Both products come with an original gift bag, making them ideal Christmas presents straight out of the box.
