The staff behind Yoroi-Shinden Samurai Troopers — the new sequel anime to the classic Yoroiden Samurai Troopers series — dropped a second promotional video on Friday for the show’s second cour. The video gives fans their first listen to the new ending theme song.

Staff
Yōichi Fujita, known for directing Gintama and Mr. Osomatsu, helms the series at Sunrise. Shōgo Mutō (Crows Zero) is supervising and writing the scripts, with the original story credited to Hajime Yatate, Sunrise’s collective creative pseudonym.
Character design duties are shared across several artists: Yūhei Murota (Love Live!) handles the main characters; Tsukasa Kotobuki (MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM THE ORIGIN MSD Cucuruz Doan’s Island) designs the villains; Hideo Okamoto (Yoroiden Samurai Troopers) is responsible for the original Yoroi Gear designs; and Takuya Suzuki (Brave King GaoGaiGar Final Grand Glorious Gathering) handles the animated Yoroi Gear designs. Shūji Katayama (Overlord) composes the score.

Story & Series Background
The new anime is set in present-day Shinjuku and follows five boys who don Yoroi Gear samurai armor to battle the demon emperor Arago.
The original Yoroiden Samurai Troopers (Legendary Armor Samurai Troopers) action TV anime was produced by Sunrise and aired in Japan from 1988 to 1989. Cartoon Network later broadcast it in the United States as Ronin Warriors. Bandai Entertainment released the series on DVD, and Discotek Media followed with a complete DVD release featuring English subtitles in 2015, along with the OVA series in both English and Japanese audio. Crunchyroll is also streaming the franchise.
