The series is a manga adaptation of the original novel by Izumi (和泉), drawn by artist Omono Matsuri (表野まつり).
Story Synopsis
The protagonist, Flora, is the daughter of a baron who lost her parents at a young age and has since been forced to work as little more than a servant in her uncle’s household. When she is ordered into an arranged political marriage with an elderly count, Flora flees her home and sets off for a neighboring country, hoping to seek help from her mother’s relatives.
Along the way, she encounters a woman collapsed on the roadside and is entrusted with the woman’s infant, Alexis. Flora then takes shelter with a nobleman of the Kingdom of Zweig named Bernburg, and before long finds herself stepping into the role of Alexis’s mother.
