The production team behind the television anime adaptation of Ryō Ariyama‘s light novel series Romelia War Chronicle: Even After Defeating the Demon King, Humanity Still Seems Doomed, So I Formed a Military Force (Romelia Senki: Maō o Taoshita Ato mo Jinrui Yabasō Dakara Guntai Soshiki Shita) has released a new trailer, announced four additional cast members, and confirmed an October 2026 premiere.

About the Source Material
Ariyama originally published the story as a web novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō platform in 2019. It was later published in print under Shogakukan‘s Gagaga Bunko imprint, accumulating over 550,000 copies in circulation before concluding with its sixth volume on November 18. Kodama illustrated the first volume, while Ryō Kamito handled illustrations for volumes 2–6.
A manga adaptation drawn by Ryō Kamito has been running on Mag Garden’s Mag Comi platform since January 2022. Seven Seas Entertainment has licensed the manga adaptation for English release, with the second volume having shipped on April 28.
Story Synopsis
After accompanying her fiancé on his quest to defeat the Demon King, Romelia is abruptly cast aside as useless and sent home, her engagement broken off. While the prince and his companions return to a hero’s welcome, Romelia walks back in disgrace. But she is not the same girl who left. Though she lacked magic and physical strength, she quietly honed skills in trade, negotiation, finance, and intelligence-gathering throughout the journey. Now she intends to put those abilities to work — rebuilding her family’s province and stabilizing a kingdom that is still far from safe. The Demon King may be gone, but his allies and roaming demons remain a very real threat. Armed with nothing but her wits and brilliance, Romelia will forge her own army and protect the kingdom at any cost.
