The TV anime Kizuguchi to Hōtai (傷口と包帯), based on the manga by Nanaoi Kaisei, has revealed new cast members, a key visual, and its main promotional video.

New Cast and Narrator

Three new cast members have been announced: Bonkohara Kou as Kawamori Shōta, a subordinate of Kiriya; Takanashi Kengo as Fujiyoshida Mamoru; and Sugita Tomokazu, who will serve as the series narrator.

Key Visual and Main PV

The key visual depicts Washizu Riyo, Kiriya Gō, and Hatoba Ginsuke bathed in neon light on a nighttime city street. The main PV showcases a lively Riyo circling a weakened Kiriya, Ginsuke’s mysterious gaze, and the members of the “Hōtai Dōmei” (Bandage Alliance). In addition to Sugita’s narration, the video features voice clips from Kanemoto Hisako as Riyo, Kobayashi Chikahiro as Kiriya, and Ishige Shōya as Ginsuke.

Opening Theme by MIYAVI

The opening theme has been confirmed as “Show Me All Your Pain” by MIYAVI, with a portion of the track already featured in the main PV. MIYAVI commented that the manga’s core theme of “baring one’s pain” resonated personally, as he is not someone who easily shows weakness to others, and he channeled that feeling into the song by empathizing with the young lieutenant character.

Cast Comments

Bonkohara Kou (Kawamori Shōta)

Kawamori is the quiet, intellectual strategist type — the opposite of the talkative Fujiyoshida. At least, that’s what I thought at first. He might just be bad at talking (laughs). Recording was a blast; there were so many moments I nearly burst out laughing!

Takanashi Kengo (Fujiyoshida Mamoru)

This work digs deep into human nature through the lens of fetish and obsession. Riyo is adorable, Kiriya is cool, and we of the Kokuchoukai will bring even more excitement to the story!

Sugita Tomokazu (Narrator)

The work gave me a strange feeling — both fresh and somehow familiar at the same time. I hope I can support all the “Yowarāer” fans out there through my narration.

Pre-Broadcast Special Programme

On Saturday, 9 January 2027 — the series premiere date — a special pre-broadcast programme will stream on ABEMA from 20:00 JST. Further details will be announced at a later date.

About the Series

Kizuguchi to Hōtai is a “special-fetish romantic comedy” centred on Riyo, the daughter of a yakuza boss who is aroused by seeing strong people in a weakened state (a trait called “Yowarāer”), and Kiriya, her caretaker who is constantly at her mercy. The original manga runs in Kodansha’s Tsuki Maga Kichi.
